pomp

Thank you Madras book groupies! Jess received your card today and loved it. Of course, she also knew you sent money which I had to promptly fork over - you just HAD to write that in there!
Here are some of the pictures from Jessi's graduation. Yes, they served champagne to everyone as we left the ceremony - even the graduates (as they are all over the age of 16). Afterwards, we boarded the train for the Airport Sheraton where we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat buffet, free champagne (the rest of the drinks were VERY expensive), and dancing! We had so much fun!!

Here is a poem I wrote for Jess that is posted on the Senior Send-Off page of the school website (from a template Steve Fisher shared):
.
Jessica Suzanne Pedersen
.
You are from dinosaur pancakes and snuggles with your yellow blankie
From mashed potatoes and warm banana bread, horchata and Maria’s tamales
From zombie movies and sleepovers with Wendy Poo, Emma Sue, and JuJu
From Edelweiss, Pink Floyd, The Ramones and “If it’s too loud, you’re too old”
.
You are from Texas and Seattle,Central Oregon and the “Rez”
From sagebrush, Juniper trees and cool desert nights
From a half-finished scrapbook chronicling your adventures
From your father’s face and your mother’s walk
You are from two families who love you more than words can say
.
Good Luck!

Um abração para todos vocês.
Alex.
