Jess had never seen Multnomah Falls the entire time we've lived in Oregon so we stopped on our wayfrom Pendleton to thePortland Airport. From Madras, we always went north then east to Pendleton or northwest to Portland so we never drove on this stretch of Highway 84.
Jess thought it was very lovely and, if we had more time, would have loved to hike up the trail to the top of the falls. Oh well, another time.
We all went out to eat breakfast in downtown Anchorage and then walked over to a waterfront park to take in the view.
Tel enjoys riding on his daddy's back!
One evening, we all went out to John and Daniela's house in Wasilla for a BBQ. We played badminton and visited. John used his famous, homemade Birch Tree Syrup as a marinade (mixed with soy and Worchester sauce) - yummmmm!
All the dogs quickly became friends with a common goal - snacks from Ben! We were worried that Okie would be too exuberant for Zizou but he was very good. Zizou was afraid of him at first but by the end was trying to get Okie to chase him around the house!

Please take note of the glorious sunshine in the photo with John and Greg standing at the grill. Again, Alaska does get sun. ;-)
