Dona Santa and Kate Continued

Murilo came home so we took Dona Santa on a couple of Frankfurt city tours - one by bus (translated into Portuguese!) on Thursday and one by boat on Friday. On Saturday, Dona Santa wanted to go to the weekly Flea Market in Sachsenhausen - she's quite the bargain hunter! It was great weather and extremely crowded. Kate and Jess took off together but we ended up on the same train home completely unplanned!

Murilo and Dona Santa left on Sunday morning and the three of us girls lounged around in our pjs for quite some time (2 pm, I think!) and then decided to take the bus to Bad Homberg for an early wine festival. We shopped a little and treated Kate to two Hessen traditions: Apple Wine and "Handkase mit musik" (literally translated it means "hand cheese with music" - it is cheese smothered in vinegar and raw onions and the 'music' is the effect on your body later, if you get my drift). It was quite the cultural event - so much so that I had to include a small video clip. We especially enjoyed the duo performing nearby! Jessica is in the background (blue sundress) ordering our cheese dish - I kept waiting for her to turn around. I think you can recognize the rest!
