The view of King Charles Bridge from our boat. We opted for a boat ride on the coldest, windiest day. But, it allowed us to escape the weather and still see Prague! The bridge has lots of vendors selling art and jewelry and about 50 caricature artists. Every other vendor was ready to draw.
Wenchelas Square - The site where a Czech student set himself on fire to protest the Russian invasion. His funeral turned into a major protest and, a month later, another student followed suit on the same site. There are photos and a small memorial for the two at one end of the square.
The famous astronomical clock in the Old Town Square. We enjoyed the hourly chimes and little figures coming out of the doors. But, the hype was more than the actual show. We really got a kick out of all the people that gathered to watch - by late afternoons there were several hundred people crammed into the area to watch and take photos (just like we did!). A tour guide told us that the man who created the clock was killed so he wouldn't create another like it. Nice!
The front of our hotel- Hotel Dar (which means Gift). It was a fairly quiet little side street around two corners from the Old Town Square. We were very close to everything and loved it.
All in all - we absolutely loved Prague. It is a beautiful city and we are looking forward to visiting the Czech Republic again. The people were very nice and friendly - although I've been told (by my Czech friends) don't drive your car there unless you have a very safe place to lock it up!!

We loved Prague, and - like you - we walked ALL over.
It was a favorite family vacation. The memories... Good to see that you continue to explore beautiful Europe.
