window to my world

Here is the view from our dining area window - fall is definitely upon us! As you can see there are many apartment buildings in the area but it is very wooded and peaceful (except for the main road).

Speaking of windows, they are very tight fitting here and do not allow any draft in at all! When the handle is pointing down, the window is locked shut.

When the handle is pointing to the side, the window can be opened wide on the side hinges.

When the handle is pointing up, the window can be tilted inward on the bottom hinges.

Of course, a problem occurs when you start to open the window before the handle is pointing up and you end up with a window hanging on only the corner hinge - a very scary thing when it is the heavy patio door (as it works on the same system).

I think those are really cool windows. They have those same type of handles on doors there too. Be careful you don't catch your sleeves. That is a nice view out your window.
When I got home from work today, it started snowing. Yes, our first of the season. It is about three weeks early. The weatherman say that it might even stick.
Love ya.

So do you have a job over there or what? You out playing more than working. Gotta love it!
