2. Are we going the right direction?
3. Hum the "Chariot's of Fire" theme song!
Fun Run -that's an excellent example of an oxymoron! I joined two other new teachers this morning for the FIS 5K walk. There was also a 5K run, a 10K run, and a 2.5K fun run for the kids. We tried to take the cut off for the kids' run but Chip Sweeney was standing guard and wouldn't let us. Well, he would have let us but he threatened to shame us in front of everyone at the end. Beate (one of the wonderful ladies responsible for helping all the new teachers get settled) asked us to keep an eye on her mother. Ha Ha - she left us in her dust!! It was a beautiful day and there were ham and cheese croissants and wine or beer waiting at the finish line - couldn't ask for anything else! The only embarrassing moment was when the two New Zealanders came dashing by to finish (way) before us and they hadn't even been there when the race began (but I think they were only running the 5K). Beate's mother came in a few minutes after us and we are still not sure how that happened. I guess she took a wrong turn somewhere - great job we did!!
Speaking of Chip, you'll have to ask him about his new (gigantic) beer stein! Let's just say the apple doesn't fall far from my tree when it comes to obtaining beer mugs.
