Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.

on our way

Murilo and I are currently sitting in the Newark Airport awaiting the flight to Sao Paulo. It is absolutely weird here - the forecasted weather front has moved in and snow is falling all along the East Coast. Continental has cancelled most of its domestic flights but is still moving the international flights out (albeit late). There are 25 people now listed to non-rev on the Sao Paulo flight so Murilo has dashed downstairs to check our status on the list one more time. I tried to convince him that it doesn't really matter but he wants to know.

Jessica did not make it on the flight out of Portland early this morning - which may have been her only hope. She finally picked up the packet with her passport and visa from the post office today (which Murilo had sent overnight express from New York on Wednesday). So, she is preparing to try and fly to Houston tomorrow and then on to Sao Paulo where we will be waiting for her. That is the plan anyway! There are a lot of IFs now, especially for Jessica. I guess her plan B is to spend the holidays with her boyfriend and his family.

I'll keep you all posted on our progress!! Keep your fingers crossed for us :)
