On our last afternoon in Rome, we decided to return to our hotel a little early. We wanted to get an early start in the morning as we had one more place to visit before heading to the airport. We came across a police barricade and streets blocked to traffic. None of the policemen looked nervous but we were a little worried about what was going on - a riot? It ended up being a great public demonstration organized to raise awareness of and stop violence against women. We followed for awhile and then headed off our own way.
