After 6 hours sitting on the plane, they finally de-iced and sent us on our way! They did serve us dinner while we waited and started the movies. We were so lucky to be in first class!!
After a 9 hour flight, we arrived in Sao Paulo and checked into the crew hotel (Marriott) to wait for Jessica. Unfortunately, and this is the biggest bummer, Jessica could not get from Portland to Houston (most flights cancelled to Newark). She is going to spend Christmas with her Aunt Cindy and Uncle Greg and then New Year's with her boyfriend and his family.
Imagine me down there in just a few minutes!! I need some sun therapy to dry my tears.
