snow!

This was the view out our window this morning! It actually started snowing yesterday afternoon with strong winds. I ventured out with the dogs a couple of times between the rain, wind, and then snow. I took them up into the forest and let them romp around until they were quite filthy. They went straight to the shower when we got home!
Yes, I did say "dogs." We are dog-sitting Biltmore. He belongs to another new family - Brian, Brooke, and Piper from California (Los Angeles to be exact). They have watched Zizou for us a couple of times and we offered to repay the favor. Bilty and Zizou get along very well - in fact, Zizou thinks he is top dog - even eating out of Biltmore's food bowl. We think Biltmore is actually just being polite as he wears this patient look on his face (he understands "small dog syndrome").

We had a four day weekend and Biltmore's family took a trip to Amsterdam while we opted to stay at home. Murilo came home with a bad head cold and Jessica has lots of homework to do (she missed four days with a bad cold, cough and body aches). We were invited to go to France with another teacher and her husband but they ended up staying at home due to the weather (why travel and end up staying cooped up in a hotel room?). We had decided (due to the factors mentioned previously) that home was the best place for us. We are going to meet the French connection for lunch today though!

Cary,
Dois pequenos cães num apartamento, enquanto neva lá fora? Pior que isso, só seis (6, meia dúzia, SIX!!!) gatos numa casa, enquanto chove lá fora!
Chamem a carrocinha!!!
