1. Go for a walk by yourself, with a friend, with the dog (get used to the rain, it happens)
2. Bake something - banana bread, cookies - and have a cup of tea (with a friend or by yourself)
3. Start a blog on blogspot.com OR add to one you already have
4. Call someone back in the states with that "unlimited calls to North American" plan- even if it is 2 am (they'll forgive you) OR if you'd rather not piss anyone off, join My Space or Facebook and look for friends (believe me, they are there)
5. Go visit your neighbors and practice German (they are usually bored on Sundays too) OR go to an ice hockey game with them!
6. Read a book (The Little Dogs Activity Book: Fun & Frolic for a Fit Four-Legged Friend?, The Everything Learning German Book?, Thief?, Administering and Interpreting the SOPA?)
7. Go to byki.com and learn a new language (preferably one that will help you adjust)
8. Clean the apartment (lord knows it can always benefit from it)
9. Watch a movie (an English language one OR one on German TV and just make up your own dialogue)
10. Pull out lesson plans for next week and get to work (there is a reason it was number 10 - YUCK)

Cary,
Sua lista é muito útil! Com relação ao item 2, por aqui nós temos um bolinho com um pedaço de banana dentro, que depois de frito é passado numa mistura de açucar e canela em pó, especial para acompanhar o café em tardes frias ou chuvosas. Sabe o nome dele? BOLINHO DE CHUVA...
Abraços
Alex.
